Well, it's fairly simple. If this girl doesn't like him, why is she sticking with him?

Social status? Unlikely, look at the guy.

Great sex? Good possibility. And for all of the bullshit stories I've heard for prolonging failing relationships, it's almost always sexual at the base (regardless of the way things are justified).
