Edwards surges in Wisconsin

Edwards surges in Wisconsin

Postby sandmann » Feb 18, 2004 @ 4:29am

Well I voted today for the first time, and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Well, I could have -- Edwards could have won -- but Kerry was supposed to win by 35 points, and he won by 1 or 2. (In case you couldn't tell, I voted for Edwards).

What do you all think? Any dinosaur Dean supporters out there? Anyone who supports the demon known as Kerry? Or do you all have good sense and support Edwards?

And when it's all over, who will you vote for?
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.

I was watching the news and only 50% of the precincts had called in when they said Kerry won. Isn't a little too close to predict like that? BTW I am for Edwards. Us southern Dem's has gots to stick together.

Dean, Edwards, or Kerry...whats the difference? They all want to institute socialist programs and support them with weighted taxation; they all want to move significantly closer to a gargantuan universal healthcare program; they all have their big-dollar bureaucratic plans for education; they all have their own programs for the economy -- so near as I can tell, Kerry wants to artifically create jobs with public money and Edwards wants to create a protectionist America.

One communist is just as good as another. Personally, I'd like to see Dean. Can't you just see Bush and him in a fist fight? My money is on Bush.

Bush would try to throw dirt in Dean's eyes but it wouldn't work. I think protectionism is a great idea. We shouldn't let jobs go to oveseas where they don't have minimum wages because their people suck ass and are all poor. When you start whining about not having a job you will want a protectionist too. Then again you aren't in the business world (which neither am I as of yet) so you don't know the real life and scarcity of jobs. But who gives a shit, its great to let the Indians get all our jobs. When you can talk about people rather than just yelling commie maybe then we can argue. :-P

Trae, why do you think all these corporations are going overseas? Maybe because of ever-increasing taxation, largely due to the collectivist bullshit you espouse? (I do realize taxation is only one aspect of this phenomenon)

And protectionism is the cornerstone of a communist economy. The way you preach your commie agenda, I assumed you'd made that connection. I should know by now that assuming you can make even the most basic connections is fallacious reasoning.

Protectionism is never a good thing, unless an economy is entirely self-sufficient. And adding protectionism policies into a (relativly) free market is just stupid.

Just look at that dimwit Bush, and his steel tariffs. That sure worked out well.

As for all these programmers whining about programming jobs going overseas, are they surprised? I could probably get a programmer in India for what I would have to pay in taxes for an American employee.

I often wonder why software companies haven't starting migrating their offices to places like the Caymans. No language barrier, less tax bullshit, and nice weather.

Why not outsource our entire government and then cut our taxes accordingly? The cost and size of government has continually increased and there is no end in sight. Even with a republican president and congress, the discretionary spending has continued to skyrocket.

Caymans, eh? I could use a tan.

First off Andy, I can make connections just not always the same ones you make because I think differently. However, I know it makes you feel good to talk about how you think you are smarter than me so I will let you continue with that. I think taxes are the least of worries for countries moving to other countries. In the US we have something called a minimum wage. It is an hourly wage that is the minimum when you hire someone. Countries like and such do not have a minimum wage, or if they do, it’s not near the 5-6 dollars ours is. Ours is so high because our economy is good. Our economy will only go down if we give all of our money to third world countries and such. Bush's steel tariffs brought about people mad form countries that we actually care about. India is a fucktard state full or people that hate Pakistanis. Pakistan is the same only they hate Indians. Who would care if they got mad? Also, this may be a little weird but I thought the corner stone of the communist economy was to share the wealth or whatever. The way I see it, keeping all your money and wealth to only one set of people (i.e. those in your country) isn't very commie.
