Ok, I've tried all of the above, and still nothing. But look what I've noticed. I, using the game's control config page, bound AUX4(4th button) to strafe left. I then bound leftarrow to turn left. When I entered the gameplay again,...both had the same effect, both were strafe left?????? Whats up with this?

Well I finally found out the problem with this issue. For some reason when the ALT key is bound to strafe it causes the leftarrow and rightarrow to become strafe. I just removed the stafe bind to the ALT key and it works fine. There must be a bug in the port of PocketQuake. I added the following line to my autoexec.cfg file:

unbind "ALT"

Not a bug - that's perfectly normal on the desktop, if anything it's something that hasn't been tweaked for PocketPC.
