Lejjo v2.0 Beta

Lejjo v2.0 Beta

Postby fast_rx » Mar 9, 2004 @ 7:19am

I've re-vamped my 1st game with some stuff I've done with my current project. I'd like to get some people to test it before I put it up on handango and pocketgear.

You can get a couple of screen shots of the old version here:

But, due to freeservers restrictions, I had to put the demo on this site:

Please don't download it if you're not interested, since I'll probably exceed my bandwith quickly.

New features include
ASM optimized rotate/scale code (30 FPS non-interlaced)
Particle effects
3d lejjo cube instead of the 2d square
includes 1 song (which I'm sure someone will say is bad)
demo allows 3 levels to be played instead of 1
full version has 32 levels
grow/shrink tiles

If you do try it, be sure to tell me if it installed correctly and runs, etc.
There should be 32 levels listed, even though you can only play the first 3.
You can also turn on the FPS display in the graphics settings if you want to report on that, but I think it will be around 30.

That means he should provide a separate copy of the gx.dll he is using, and have it install to the same location as the executable.

It is still giving the error about gx.dll when not installed, but runs at 34fps on ipaq1910. Is there any way to remove the error because it's probably pretty irrelevent if it still runs fine.

I downloaded the latest version and the mouse control I find heaps easier to use - I reckon it's good you've got the choice now.

Also, with the new version it only drops by 5fps to 29fps which doesn't really feel any different when playing.
