Ordering a laptop for college

Squishy, for the eightieth time, please shut up. I'm actually trying to get some input here; I didn't post this so you and jadam could have a pissing match about a Mac.

Jadam, other than from you, I've heard that the T41 has a very nice design, with a good keyboard, a backlight, a great screen, etc. Has anyone actually seen one in action? How about the 600m?

And to avoid the apparent confusion, I would get the 600m, NOT the 300m.

I would say go with any of the IBM Thinkpads. Those things are great for students and are sexy looking.

Well Ive never actually used a T41, my stepdad only has an IBM laptop, its not the T41, but its pretty close to it. Its nice and all, I just dont like the edges of his laptop... Too bad you cant just go out and actually try the T41s since most stores dont carry them.

Aha and my friend just got a 600m too! I just remembered, she says its a nice laptop.
