I would have the top permanently down in that car... except in the winter.

and for some reason horsepower isn't as important to me as it used to be. I'd rather have a tight, fun car on the street than an expensive car with tons of horsepower that I'll never use and that I'll have to pay for with each fill up and with each insurance bill.

This Pontiac should get really excellent gas mileage, too. Thirty plus. And it's faster than my current car, and cheaper.

I've really been getting into European and American cars lately. These Asian cars are all so ... juvenile.

[edit] HEY, I just realized something. My car will have a resale value of $16,000 by 2006. Which is two summers+ away. I could easily earn the $4,000 spare by then, if not in one summer. I could actually have enough to get this thing when it comes out ... which will just so happen to coincide with my undergrad commencement!
