Well, just because the Quran "justifies" violence, doesn't mean all or even the majority of Muslims practice it. For examples of people who consider themselves religious, but don't follow the doctrine of their religion, look at American Christians. I've lived in both Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and have met a lot of people in both places that were good and kind people. The place where I remember the most anti-American sentiment was Egypt, though my perception is probably skewed by the fact that there were two bombings of tour buses while I was there.
