Many Sony products are fantastic. My Sony TV, Sony PS1, Sony PS2, Sony Minidisc, and Sony Car deck work fantastic; and have been for several years.

No, I don't like memory sticks. Proprietary shit, including any accessories, including batteries, is how Sony (and many, many companies) have always made a lot of their dough.

No, I've never seen that, I've never seen anyone drive their garbage out to the curb and bang the hell out of it with a stick. No, I've never seen that.

Well think of it like GBA carts, yes they are proprietary, but if you haven't noticed, you can get blank flash carts and usb readers off the internet now and put emulators, mp3's, etc. on the GBA. Maybe the same will happen with Sony's new format. Jaybot- You did not mention any audio equipment. Car deck... The receiver is the least important part of a car audio system. I could remove my receiver and connect my amps to a ten year old portable CD player and I doubt there would be significant change in sound quality. Sony speakers and amplifiers (the most important part of any audio system) are complete garbage.

Yes GBA flash carts are available, but I think of this more like the Xbox dvd format, AFAIK they are written and read backwards or something like that and I don't think any consumer burner can write in that format.

Maybe if the PSP disc drive is close enough to a normal dvd drive the PSP could be modded to accept normal small dvds, but this can probably be prevented by using other laser wavelengths or whatever...

Do Sony actually manufacture anything anymore? No. They just get third party manufacturers to make the components, then they put their logo on the product. I'm still saving my money for a PSP, though.
