New iPods

Hmmmm.... I refuse to purchase anything that performs 1/10 of the functions of another device while still costing almost as much. Of course, the main advantage of the iPod is the amount of storage. I have been told that iPods are almost becomming a status symbol now, like it is good to be wearing white earbuds as opposed to black ones. Almost like those plasma screen TVs that really don't look much better than high defenition rear projection, in my opinion, and are basically like hanging a sign on your wall that says "I am rich." I have also been told, about the ipod, that you have to use their software called iTunes, and that it is a proprietary audio format.

Sure, go for it. Notice we both used "I" in our posts. To me, functionality is more important, to you, storage space is more important. Looks like we've both found products to by happy with, my pocket pc, and your ipod!

I really have no use for an i-pod. I rarely ever listen to music with headphones, so whenever I do want to take my dog for a walk or something, I have no problem with transferring some MP3s to my PDA.
