I got it working, everthing off and on low settings (ive got a 2600+ anthlon, 512mb with a ati 9000 pro) I think its pretty great! Got shocked allot and now i am taking a little break...

So I picked up (bought ) the game last night. Runs pretty well at 640x400 (I chose that resolution because of the widescreen) medium quality with shadows off. Still looks very nice and is very much playable, but I'd rather play it on my desktop.

The game itself? Very, very nice. Not as scary as I thought it would be (probably since I'm always expecting something to jump at me) but cool nonetheless. It's just the kind of game that you have to play in the dark.

I've already seen that tweak, but I'm not going to try it. id will come out with a patch if there's so many tweaks that can be done.

Turning off shadows means only character shadows Sponge, there's still all the lighting quality and such.

I just installed the latest Omega ATI drivers, and I think it docked DOWN the framerate!! I used to get in the 30's and 40's, while now it's in the 20's and 30's. All my other games run faster though...

I believe that Doom3 might just be the absolutely worst multiplayer game I've ever played. I don't even know how to put this horrible feeling into words. What a horrible game.

I play it at 640x480 (low settings) too, since then I get a decent speed .

The GeForceFX 5600 isn't really helping for making my PC faster does it . I ordered a X800, but the expected delivery time is in 2 weeks . I'm hoping on getting my other PC stuff faster though. Stupid online shops...
