Sims 2: A Review in Pictures

Cameron: Don't buy either of those systems. I could make you a 2600 barton, case, 160gig 7200rpm hd, mobo with N-Force 2 Ultra, 512megs of ram all for about 400~. You will get a HUGE performance for what I can make you for only about 50 bucks more. All of that excluding a decent video card for about 425 shipped.

The problem is, with a factory-build PC you get an OS with all the drivers for the included hardware, and sometimes (maybe nowadays it's easier) when you install a different OS on it you get problems finding drivers for hardware you don't know the name of etc.

Just a though :).

I'd say go with Jello's offer, it sounds like a great machine (think about sound editing, that should run better on a high[er]-end machine too).

Fuck Safedisc. Run the crack, although I've already told you this over aim, it'd be useful for other people with the same problem.

Don't bother cracking using noCD patches. If the game is updated, then the patch won't work, neither will the expansion packs. Take the DVD version back and buy the 4 CD version.

I had to crack my 4CD version of Splinter Cell 2, since it didn't want to stop asking me to insert the friggin CD (who was already in it...).

Stupid protection stuff... Thy crack it within a day, so why not just putting in a more simple security system...
