They say the U.S. doesnt have a true democracy because not every citizen has a say in what goes on. They call what we have a representative democracy. Meaning you choose who represents your best interests. Unfortunatly not everybody votes so not everybody gets represented fairly. And even if they did, we would still have to pick between Bush and Kerry because they have the most money, not because they represent our ideas and beliefs the best. I dont think we have any sort of democracy, they should really make up a new name or something.

The name you are looking for is "republic".
