Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

Matt Pond PA is an amazing songwriter. I guarentee that some people on this board would like him. They gave this cd an abominable score, while they gave one of his ep's a much higher score... his sound hasn't changed much on anything I've ever heard, so I don't know why there's such a giant difference between one of his best cds and one of his eps. He gets great reviews everywhere, but not on head up their ass media.

Examples of good reviews:

Pretty much, look him up on the internet... the only place i saw that really badmouths him is pitchfork, cause they're ignorant/sophmoric fucks who think they know everything.

You have yet to give a good reason for why Pitchfork is a terrible website. Let's look at your last post:

Reason: Pitchfork sucks because they gave some dude's LP a better score than its EP though they aren't that different.

Look, different people reviewing different music will obviously give different scores. That's a reality of any website.

Reason: Some dude got good scores on other websites and a poor score on Pitchfork.

DUH! Good Charlotte gets great reviews some places; does that mean they're a great band? Some people will always have something good to say about a band. That doesn't mean that the band is good.

Just because they differ with you sometimes doesn't mean they suck. That's sort of what you get when you have dozens of people reviewing different albums; not everyone agrees. I, personally, think the Faint are a pretty shitty band (although that one song with 'agenda' in its title was okay), so I agree with Pitchfork's review. I also think that Radiohead is one of the best bands to have graced this planet, so I'm clearly with them there, too.

Pitchfork is actually more discriminating than most other websites, which I happen to like. PopMatters gives way too much shit a good review when it doesn't deserve it.
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.

no what i'm saying is some dude who gets good reviews everywhere, gets a bad review on their website and they don't even give any good reasons. the person reviewing matt ponds cd obviously had no idea what it was and obviously isn't into that kind of music hence the shitty score. they do that alot, pairing up people who aren't musically fluent in a genre with a band from said genre and the person ends up either completely missing the boat on the band or comparing it to completely unrelated bands.

So what?! Not everyone SHOULD like everything. The point of a reviewer is that you find one with the same tastes as you and then base your opinion about things you haven't experienced on what that person has to say. If every reviewer was paired up only with things they like then everything would receive a perfect score and it would defeat the point of reviews entirely. You're the one that's obviously missing the boat, chuck.
