Linker Error


Linker Error

Hi I am new here, but trying my best to learn.<br><br>I get this error when using Visual C++ 5.0 to compile your sampleapp project. <br>Linking...<br>lib_pc/library/visual\ptc.lib : fatal error LNK1106: invalid file or disk full: cannot seek to 0x3987d245<br>Error executing link.exe.<br><br>sampleapp.exe - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)<br><br>When I download a new openPTC and try, I get more errors. I did copy the dll files into windows\system directory both times.<br><br>Has it got anything to do with the "\" which is in the wrong direction? But I can't find it any where.<br><br>Sorry, but I'm abit new to VC and sdk coding, only know turbo c++.<br><br>Thanks!<br>

Sorry, forgot to mention that my HD still has 20+ GB, so it can't be disk full.

I had this error once when I interrupted a compile with a reset, wich probably caused an object file to exist, but only partially. Perhaps you have an invalid version of OpenPTC; since it's probably from my zip, you might want to check that the zip is 100% OK. If all else fails, try a hard reset of your machine and a rebuild all.

Oh thanks for the suggestion. But there was nothing wrong with the zip. In the end, it worked out when I downloaded a new version of OpenPTC and unzipped its contents into lib_pc. So now after much try and error I can build under VC Debug and eVC under Release. Good enough for me! :)

That's how I use it. :) I debug on the PC, never on the PPC. :)
