Sandmann, I believe he said to do some research on Christianity.
There was a flood that destroyed all life. It was recorded as a "global" flood because of the actual size of the known world at the time. If you think the world is mesopotamia and Eygpt, then a flood could easily cover that area. There is scientific evidence of a massive flood from the Caspian or Black (I forgot which) sea around the time period that the Biblical flood was supposed to take place. Sumerian culture, Assyrian culture, Babylonian culture, Egyptian culture, Greek culture and Hittite culture all account for a massive flood. All of these cultures have the same general story as well - flood by the gods, man and family build big-ass boat, save themselves and animal life live and start the "world" again.
The general consensus during ancient times was that the earth was flat - the Bible clearly states in many places that the earth is round and orbits the sun, not the other way around. How does that happen?
"It's like looking through a hole in a fence, on the other side of which a donkey walks by. First you see his nose, then the rest of his head, then the body and finally the tail. So you might think to yourself 'the nose causes the tail!' but it's only because you have a limited perception of the 'big picture'."
I got that from another forum - try thinking about it when you are debating the existence of God. I've stated many times that we as humans cannot comprehend God's existence, this I believe goes to further m point. Human logic is "cause and effect," or "true or false," but that is logical only from our limited perspective.
Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.
