Andy, why must you resort to ad hominem attack, when I didn't do so to you? I merely asked what your frame of reference was. I also never brought my prior service into this conversation, though you seem eager to. I will not defend my service to you, especially since your own is merely peripheral. However, I knew many "low-level enlisted 'intelligence' guy[s]', guys who sat in shitty little trucks in the middle of nowhere serving their country and certainly do not deserve to have said service pooped on by you. Furthermore, I have never and would never 'inflate' my deeds, and neither would those men and women I served with. If you want to attack me, then do so, but do not bring other anonymous members of the armed services into it.
As to the reason I brought it up, I have a number of friends and some family in the region. The information I get from them differs from yours significantly, and since they are based all over Iraq, I'll take their word for it over yours.
As to Brig, I don't much care what you have to say, and doubt I ever will. I find it difficult to listen to people talk about things they don't understand as if they are reading from a cue card, when I know full well they have never done anything to suggest any special insight into a situation. You fall squarely into that category. And while you sit there, smug and full of contempt about your supposed rights being trampled by the facists at PM, I can only imagine that you have no sense of the things you speak about...no sense of facism, no sense of rights, and no sense of anything outside your protected environment of likeminded dolts.
My oppinions do not reflect the oppinion of PM or any of its staff, they never have. If at some point the powers that be decide that my words have put them in a bad light, then I am sure they will tell me. If they asked, I'd even stop posting in this forum. Because, you see, this is not some town square ruled by facists who are oppressing anyone. It is a private forum, run by private citizens, and they may do with it as they please.
