Photo Recognition Software!!!

It seems that photo recognition software has been developed for security purposes.
So far, they have been used with Symbian and Linux smartphones. Does anyone know of any such projects for ppc's?

That would have an inctredible cool factor-before your friend can play with your ppc, a screen shows up-"please place camera in front of your face to verify ientity"!!
This would also have a huge matrketable appeal to business users who require tight security...

$200 just for a built in thumbscanner anyone?? (Ipaq 5400...2700...)

And, obviously, this could be added to any ppc with a built in camera (Loox 720,Asus 730,Samsung i700 etc,) or sd camera for a minimal ($20-50) fee.

Thumbprint scanners can be implemented for much, much, cheaper than that, especially when in OEM quantities. I'd wager dollars, if that.

so the only reason more companies don't use themin their ppcs is because it makes the device more bulky?

Only corporate markets care. And for that, they can charge a $200+ premium sometimes.
