I had a ton of fun. Picnicing in Hyde Park is nice.

Steph and I went to Windsor and decided to go to an evensong service. Since we're in the world renowned Sewanee Choir they let us sit in the exclusive quire area for the service. We sat across the quire from Charles and Camelle. They installed a new Knight during the service, too.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

I'm British but backed the bid for Paris. Could you imagine London's public transport system trying to cope with all the extra visitors?

Yes, you can argue that if we won then it would be revamped, but it would require starting from scratch to fix.

We have politicians telling us to take trains rather than dump CO2 into the atmostphere from planes and cars, yet comparing prices yesterday for the journey home from Leeds and back again (converted to dollars):

Return flight (duration: 55 minutes) = $76
Return train (duration: 5.5 hours) = $231

Is it really any surprise that no-one takes trains anymore?
