Running Quake I at 320x240 landscape right/left

Hello,
I installed this great game. First I played the game at 240x180. I found it too small, so i tried to play @ 320x240.
When i started 320x240 i didnt came out of the video modes menu.
How does it works?
I've an ipaq 1940

If you open up the autoexec.cfg into notepad and add vid_mode 2 at the end on a new line at the bottom then save it to your pda in the correct dir it works starts up in landscape
