No, I've never seen that, I've never seen anyone drive their garbage out to the curb and bang the hell out of it with a stick. No, I've never seen that.

Organic Superlube? Oh, it's great stuff, great stuff. You really have to keep an eye on it, though--it'll try and slide away from you the first chance it gets.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

I was definitely a Commodore boy.

You're right, chuck. Apple doesn't only make mice, they only make iPods.

Mmmmm... Mac Vs. PC... Well, considering I am posting from a strange, white object with only one mouse button, I feel I should comment on this discussion. A few weeks ago i decided I wanted a new laptop and thought, instead of paying for another machine that will look and feel the exact same way but be a little lighter (my reason for wanting a new laptop), i thought why not get my money's worth and try something completely different. At first I would use them both (mainly because I didn't feel like moving my email over) but for the last few days I have been on OS X exclusively.

My conclusion thus far?

Come on people, it's a damn personal preference. Everything my PC could do, my mac can do just as well. It may look different (better or worse depending on who you ask) but when it comes down to it, its doing whatever just as well. So, I can completely understand why someone could say, "well, i just prefer working in XP as opposed to OS X" or the other way around, but I think it's absolutely rediculous that people get passionate about something that, as I said, is really an issue of personal preference. Why did my room mate act like I have betrayed him after ten years of friendship the day my iBook arrived? I have no idea. This is the kind of attitude that I can't begin to understand. Give it a rest, people. I trully do not give a shit whether my next door neighbor is watching movies on VHS or DVD, whether they have a CRT or projection television, drive a domestic or imported car (manual vs. automatic? hah, that's a different story!), etc. any more than I care whether someone is using OS X or XP.

The personalities in this thread who blindly follow and/or oppose specific operating systems also take the same approach in their political beliefs.

Unsurprising, but interesting.
Truth is a possession.
