Speed differences with GapiDraw vs others?

1) I like the license for GapiDraw much better than EDGE (hassle to RENT a library every year). However, according to EDGE, they are a faster library (from their own benchmarks). This is one of the only thing keeping me from getting GapiDraw.

2) I use PocketFrog right now on the Pocket PC 2003 SE. Would I notice a big speed difference on this device if I ported my games to GapiDraw?

The general productivity approximately identical.

P.S. I have bought Gapi and I can not receive any support. Such sensation that the project has died.
