decrease. If it's faster than the refresh rate then it will capture unrefreshed screens.

When you take video of a backlit screen, you get screen flicker. It happens with TVs, monitors, etc.

It doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the playback- it's during recording.

but altering the shutter speed (refresh, or whatever it is) of the camera when recording will remove that problem

Okay, lets forget that I have my camera connected to my PC. This flicker happens when just taking normal video.

Now will altering the shutterspeed really help? The refresh of the screen is significantly faster than anything the camera can produce. It seems all that will do is create jerky motion.

I don't even know if I can alter the shutterspeed on my camera.

weell, i've sent it to Matt Keys, and i'm waiting for him to compress it and upload it. It is just a movie of me playing Ce/gg and listening to an MP3 at the same time. I wanted to show how fast a Casio o/c'ed to 203.4 is, it runs the game perfect at frameskip 3 while media player is running at non-degredated sound (i did the registry hack to stop that muffled shit they do when u switch apps).

well if you're saying that you get flickery output when pointing the camera at anything then your cameras bust?

i dunno, i'm only a droid and not very knowledgeable about such things. not on this planet anyway. as a matter of fact, I'm not even sure which planet i'm on.
No, the flicker only occurs when filming a backlit screen.
