well we do shit eater, and if u look at the brighthand polls for does your casio satisfy you, compared to the ipaq exact same poll the results are staggering.
[pre]
Casio Ipaq
No problems. I am a happy customer 46 42

Some problems, but I can live 8 27
with them

Some problems, but I was able 3 10
to get them fixed

I'm fed up. Does "quality 3 15
assurance" mean anything to ..?

Just got my (...), so it's too 1 4
early to tell.
[/pre]
so thats 15% of ipaq users that are Fed up with the crap that compaq released.

Is that poll new? Because Compaq fixed almost all problems in the past few months..

that poll is from a few weeks ago. And i'm not talking about how they 'fixed problems' There is still a button problem, you can still get dust behind the screen (they made it 'better). This is just a poll of pure opinions from average ppc users, completely unbiased in the collection of the votes. This is what people think, if casio had a faster processor no one would buy a ipaq, from the looks of these polls.

It´s amazing how ppl that dont have an iPAQ complain more about the button problem than the ppl who does have one. You know why? Because you can get around it using many technics like on screen button and taking advantage of the action button (that can be pressed together with other button), and then it gets almost as good as Cassiopeias for games.
And no, even if the cassiopeia had a better processor I would still buy the iPAQ because of the Flash Rom, the expansion Jacket system, the design, the outdoor usefulness of its screen, and also because I love that light sensor that it changes my backlight settings automagically. :)

Gentlemen, take it easy. I'm sorry to say Chuck, but with the info I got here I'm gonna stay with the iPAQ (3650 or 3670? my bank account wil decide :) ).
Yes, I was worried about the battery lifetime, but you guys showed that for what I'm gonna use the PDA it's more then enough. Yes, the iPAQ has a "dust problem", but I think it's not terminal.
As I said before, Casio here in Brazil is only known for its watches, so it doesn't have a good support service. I know that Compaq's isn't all roses, but it's better then Casio's. And most important of all, I'm leaving (snif, snif) my Palm V because I crave for basically one thing: expansability. And in that department, the iPAQ rules with its sleaves.
So, if everything goes well (and my wife dosen't have a fit or tells me "I think my period is kind of late"), by next week I'll be a happy owner of an iPAQ. Thanks to all for the patience and kind answers. Valeu de montão, Diego.
I'll be joining you guys here in the forum once and a while. Cya all.
