Help with PPC

Help with PPC

Postby Luciano U. Werner » Aug 11, 2001 @ 6:14pm

The documentation that I found about PPC was skimpy at best, so I'm having some trouble costumizing my iPAQ. Maybe you guys can help me out:
1) How do I create shortcuts? For instance, I installed Peter's Gamebox on my iPAQ. How do I creat a shortcut to it on my Games folder in the Start Menu?

2) In Notes, is it possible to eliminate the date column or at least shrink it so that the title column has a bigger space (i.e, all of the title can be displayed)?

3) In Notes, is it possible to disable the virtual keyboard so that every time I open a note It won't automaticaly pop-up and then stay opened until I hit the icon on the lower right corner?

4) How can I change wallpapers, icons and buttons? I'm trying to use WisBar and I know it can be changed some.

Thanks for the help.

Paul, you've helped a lot about the shortcuts. Do you know where I can find something about Notes? I use it at work every day.
Why can't there be a GOOD manual to these things? I looked every where and there's nothing about this.

ok, i just used notes.

you cant alter the widths of those columns. not thrrough notes anyway, so i dunno...

disabling the keyboard could be done by setting your default input device to something else although then that would probably popup instead...

i haven't used wisbar for ages and i cant install it right now so you'll have to keep trying

No, that doesn't work either. Instead of the keyboard popping up now it's the pen thing. Darn. Don't think I'll be able to fix that. But that link you posted had some excellent tips. Thanks.

You got to use the word 'inevitable' so I had to too, sorry. And ignorance is my favorite word, so you can see why I had to use it too.
