Gamespot.com has just posted their review on RTCW (Return to Castle Wolfenstein), and they gave it a 9.2. But what they said, I completely and utterly disagree with! They said the single-player was crap, saying it was dull, boring, and is nothing new. Could they be any more wrong!! The single-player is SOOO good!! And they say it's crap!! AHHH!!!!! They fucking said that the AI in Wolfenstein is WORSE than the AI of Half-Life!! Again, they are SO stupidly wrong!! The AI in Half-Life was really stupid, they would stand in one place and shoot at you until you died, in Wolfenstein, they actually ran around. They said that if you sniper out a guy, they guy next to them won't notice, BUT THEY DO!!! The guys in watchtowers see a dead person, and hit the alarm button! The AI is the best of any game of today!! What really made me pissed was that they said the music wasn't that good, but I thought the music was absolutely excellent, it change when you got to certain parts of levels to set the PERFECT mood!! The music in Wolfenstein is EASILY the best music for any first-person shooter!! It's like the original Wolfenstein 3D, where the midi music set the mood for the type of level, creepy music for monster levels, fast powerful music for the boss levels. What they kept saying was how wonderful the multiplayer is, but I think the single-player is better! The review is just TOO stupid, and has probably never played the original to appreheiate the new one. There is only one thing the review said that I agreed with, that the nazi soldiers should yell things in German, instead of German-accented English. I do agree with that, the only German they say is "ja wohl!", "hast hast! schnell!", but they don't say stuff like the original Wolfenstein, "sheiße!!", and my sister used to always run around the house (back in early '90s) yelling "iiiyyyyeeee!!", which the soldiers in Wolfenstein 3D would sometimes scream when they die. Man, we gotta port PocketWolf soon, I'm in desparate need to play Wolfenstein 3D!! So many wonderful memories coming back!! AHH!! Too much information overloading brain with excitement!! Wolfenstein 3D was my first game back in the day, I also have Spear of Destiny I, II, and III (thoses where the actual sequels to Wolfenstein 3D). Remember the monsters from Wolfenstein 3D? They were Frankensteins with a pistol in their chest, and they would move their arms up and down to fire it, and it actually really hurt, and they're scary because they don't make any sound when they see you, but they do do a growl thing when they die. In Spear of Destiny, the monsters are in the last level, they are ghosts that if they touch you, you take A LOT of damage, and if you shoot them, they disappear for a few seconds and come back, and the final bosses were monsters. In SOD II or III, I can't remember, the ghosts are green clouds. I remember the robot boss in Wolfenstein 3D, that level was SOO good. Man, I love Wolfenstein 3D!!!! :-)

Ok, I doubt many of you wasted your time actually reading all that, so here's a wrap up, we gotta port PocketWolf, Gamespot did a review on Return to Castle Wolfenstein () which I completely disagree with, and that I love Wolfenstein 3D :-).

That seems about standard for initial releases sadly. Of course if you gave people the option to have it now without sound and in a few days with sound, you know what answer you would get:)

I think it would be scarier without sound, because guys would pop out of no where and slap you in the face with some bullets, but of course we'd all prefer sound, for the music, voices, and misc. I shall never forget the sound of the secret passage opening, or any of the other sounds at that! I'd still like to see a beta version of PocketWolf now, so we can at least see what it's like. Or if not that, can the person with the port post some screenshots? I'd like to know if there's the option of portait or landscape, etc.

And Werner, NO, I actually bought the game legally from a store. A game of this stature deserves to be boughten, I mean, it's Wolfenstein! The sequel to the greatest game of all time!! Plus my dad payed for it ;-)
