No, you don't. MSN just has their own special dial-up software, just like AOL uses. I'd cancel MSN and go for something like Earthlink. That's what I use and I connected to the internet at every exit along I-75 in Southwest Florida clear up to the smallest rural town west of Columbus Ohio, all local numbers.

Btw I had qwest internet acess and it requierd no special software (just dialup networking) and it still didnt work :/. Oh and the only reason I had msn is because they bought out qwest and switched me to them

I have DSL through Earlthlink and they provide 20 hours per month of dial-up service. So, I can enjoy fast speeds and still use my Casio to check mail or get online anywhere I can plug a phone jack into it. :D

What the hell are you talking about?

I've had MSN for over 3 years now, and haven't had one problem using a normal dial-up number.

just set up the number as you normally would for any othe rnormal dial up networking number

for user name put: msn/username
and for password put: yourpasswordlikenormal

works fine, and has been for over three years.

hmmm... all the numbers dont work. I get the same message that there was no carrier please check your number and try again. I know what that means btw. Does msn have special dial up numbers for the ppc? They have their mobile section thingy but nothing else that I can find.
