Postby R0B » Mar 28, 2002 @ 7:47pm

I use a cf 56k modem with my e200 (and this is the case with my 720 also) and use a noname local provider, and I connect just fine with the number that they gave me to use for my desktop. I never heard of such nonsence where win ce needed a specail number.

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

T just means tone.

Try a different number.

What error are you getting when it dials?

i think i know the problem. when it dialls, is it just dialling the number, or is it putting extra numbers on the front? if it is, go to dialling rules and tell it to just diall "g" for each number, and then tap in the full number with the area code and everything.
thats what i do, my ppcs always trys to use american code structures and stuff, useless.
Why?

i think we've already gone over that.

what mike needs to do is pick up another phone while its dialing, to hear what it is really doing.

you know what a modem call should sound like; and if you hear it dialing 2 billion digits, then you know the problem.

it may be the modem itself. stranger things have happened.
