New Jornadas

Postby ingallsj » Apr 17, 2002 @ 8:46pm

The new Jornadas, the 565 and 568, are pretty good, with a CF slot, 16-bit screen, the best batteries in the field, and mulitple button press capability.

Best PocketPC

Postby ingallsj » Apr 17, 2002 @ 8:48pm

However, the best PocketPCs are the new Casio and the new Toshiba. Both have an SD/MMC slot AND a CFII/CF+ slot. That is the ultimate combination. Now if we could just entice Sony to switch their Clie from PalmOS to PocketPC and upgrade the hardware...

XScale

Postby ingallsj » Apr 17, 2002 @ 8:51pm

FYI, Intel's technical name for the 400Mhz XScale is SA-250 (just in case you saw that and didn't know what it meant) and the 300Mhz I think is SA-150. But when you say XScale, I know you mean the SA-250, which is based on the XScale processor technology.

I think you'll find that it's called the PXA-250:

too many posts

Postby ingallsj » Apr 18, 2002 @ 11:21pm

I guess you're right about the posts and the processor  , but hey, I read the article about a month ago after about 1/2 hour of looking around in Intel's Press Release site, so how much do you expect me to remember?
