Win2k Pro is the best OS so far, XP Pro still has issues in my book but it is getting there. I have 4 identical hardware based Dell systems and 4 identical hardware based Compaq systems.

Win2k Pro runs best with all the apps and hardware I use. WinXP Pro is really nice gui wide when you turn off all that damn pansey ass themes and help system off.

When XP comes out with more bug fixes I will be happier with it and switch to it.
Note to self: Why don't you ever listen to me?

In 1989, I had a 20Mz IBM Microchannel. It had a 1Gb HD, which was so over top of the line! 8Mb of RAM I think. Still runs Win3.1. We got it when I was 3, and I remember the day vividly. We got the Internet for it in 1991, when it first came to the public with the ONLY ISP in the world at that time, Prodigy. It had a 2K modem. Then we got a 14.4, 28.8, 36.6, 56, and now cable on the newer computer. I REMEMBER THE EXACT DAY THAT I FIRST SAW THE BANDWIDTH SPEED REACH 1KBPS!!! I REMEMBER THE DAY!! I remember how it used to actually take 10 minutes to load yahoo.com, and if you searched for "the", you'd get 5 results.

dunno what year we got our first computer, but it cost $2500. Had an intel 8086 proc (yeah not the lousy 8088) 640k conventional ram (wasn't possible to upgrade i think). Didn't have all them fancy stuff like a harddisk, 3.5" diskdrives or color graphics, sound, etc. But it sure rocked, still have it rusting under my bed, we did upgrade it quite a bit later on, 20mb harddisk, vga card, soundblaster, scanner etc. It ran some whacked up version of dos 3.1 out of the box but I've installed several version of dos all the way up to 6.0 on it, no Windows ofcourse.

ahh, brings back good memories :')

Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."
