I always set my Record key to exit, but the start button would be good enough. If there's an ingame menu then I use Start to access it (it kind of makes sense to have Start start something instead of finish something).

On the iPaq, the left record button is the best one. Or you could forget all that exiting business and not provide a way :P

I find it annoying to press, perhaps it's less annoying when you are left handed. But I don't mind pressing it every once in a while, as in to exit a game :)

The record button is pretty much standard, because on almost all devices it is in an out of the way place, not near the D-Pad.

I tried holding my ppc as a leftie does. I actually find it easier to press the record button than I usually do. My finger is smaller than my thumb, so I manage to press it in all the way easier. As for the exit button, id use the record button (Jornada)

The location is a litter higher up on the side of the iPaq 38xx than the Jornada 5xx. And the whole reason for using the record button is because it IS out of the way. You want all the buttons used for controlling fast-paced movements close together, i.e., down near the bottom with the D-pad and the 4 hot keys.
