Well, I guess that depends on brand and model. I have used my E115 for more than 2 years now, but I doubt an iPAQ will last that long without starting to fall apart... :D

It seems like the longest lasting ppc is the 720. Since I have owned it, it has not had any hardware defects, and still seems as good as the day when I had bought it. Technology wise, the only upgrade made was an increase in memory. So, shelflife wise, I would say that the 720 has outlasted nearly all ppc's.

My 568 only lasted 8 months, but I think that it was just a lemon. My old Casio E-125 lasted me about three years before it finally took the plunge and just kinda died.

I have had my Jornada 548 for over a year now and it works fine. The only thing, is that the battery is going bad and I will have to send it in to get it replaced. The warrenty has run out so it will cost me. As soon as my dad pays me for working for him ( ), I'm going to buy a Jornada 568. I like how the battery is user replaceable, so I won't have to worry about sending it in when it goes bad. I know the Casio E-200 has a user replaceable battery too. Do any of the XScale PPCs have this feature? Also do I have to buy a battery from HP for a Jornada 568, or can I buy one at a store like Radio Shack?
