I'd agree with moose insofar as 'love' is over used. However, I do believe in love at first sight...only with a twist.

I think you can meet a girl and imediately realize that she is a girl you will fall in love with.

I met a girl, in 1990, at RIC. I was with a friend visiting his girlfriend, and Lorna was her roommate. I remember perfectly what I saw. She was on the couch, writing in a spiral notepad. Her hair was up in a hastened bun, she was wearing a white t-shirt and blue sweatpants with paint stains on them. Her feet were curled up next to her, as she leaned on the arm writing. I KNEW I had to be with her...and I went to her dorm EVERY DAY for a week, with a rose, left it on her pillow, and waited for a call. FINALLY, she called, and we dated for nearly 5 years. I fell in love instantly, and to this day I still have love in my heart for her. However, she never wanted to get married and never wanted to have children, so it was doomed to fail...

TM, if you're saying that many different things can be perfect for what they are then that's no problem, but if you're trying to say that perfection is many different things then I'd love to argue... I realize there's no point, however, so I'll nix that.

Ya, for some reason this is true, when this phenomena occurs you feel much stronger, bolder, and more comfortable around her. If you're just interested in a girl then you get nervous and stuff, but if you're infatuated at first sight then something is very different, you feel at ease instead of on edge. I've had that feeling 3 times, but I wouldn't only call one of them infatuation at first sight. The others there has always been something that triggered it.

Yeah I agree love is overused, I'm not one to say tritely "I love you" and believe I mean it. I love my family, and outside of that I have yet to experience it. However, I believe you can experience love in one form another without necessarily marrying that person or anything. In the same way that some overuse love, others are too hesitant to use the word. Plus, it's all relative to the person. Techmage has fallen in love many times, who's to say it wasn't true love just because it's happened three times, and early in life?
