That's what I'm saying, Communion isn't such an important thing. Why should it be, it's just something Jesus did at his last supper. He said to take remember him whenever we take communion, not that communion should be taken at every turn or that communion wipes away sin or anything like that. Communion, just like forming the cross with your thumb on your forehead, is a way of remember Jesus. There is nothing more to it.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery!"
Galatians 5:1
About vacations being bad  Jesus said that he came to give us life, and life to the fullest. John 10:10. My minister took a vacation to Alaska in order to see another form of God's majesty. He came back telling us of the huge whales leaping out of the water, the gigantic glaciers falling into the sea with a rumble louder than any lightning bolt. It's bad to go to the ends of the Earth to find God's majesty? To be able to see every great thing that God has created? So God is mad at my minister now because he went to see how wonderful God is? Ya, right. Jesus came to set us free so that we could be free. My minister went to Alaska and came back with amazing stories about how wonderful the Earth that God created is. Jesus doesn't want us to sit in a hole "sacrificing" our lives away. He wants us to get out, to live to the fullest. God made this world so that we could see it, live in it, and enjoy it. God made a Sabbath as a day of rest, a weekly vacation, for the People of God. You say your faith is stronger because I take a vacation. I say my faith is stronger because I go to every corner of the earth to see all that God has created for me and for everyone else. After all, Paul roamed the entire known world in order to see everything and spread the word. Why do Catholic priests shut themselves up in a monastery? They should take after the ways of the First Priests, isn't that what you've been saying? If you want to follow Paul, then FOLLOW HIM. I'm going to follow Jesus.
"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on humand tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ."
Collosians 2:8 (Titled: Freedom From Human Regulations Through Life with Christ)

If you really did have more faith and more spirit than I then you would be humble and correct me in quiet speech, instead of taking glee in what you see as fault.

Regarding "all other apostles with wives?" It directly states that Paul, the 'most important' of the Twelve Apostles had a wife that he took with him on his ministries. Also James the brother of Jesus had a wife that took with him on his ministries. You're not going to tell me that the Twelve Apostles didn't have wives, because it says so in the Bible.
"Now the Bishop must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife." 1 Timothy 3:2
"A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well." 1 Timothy 3:12

-First Corinthians 7:2 "[...] each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband."
-First Corinthians Chapter 9 (Paul speaking) "Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? [...] This is my defense to those who sit in judgment on me. Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord's brother and Peter?"

-First Corinthians 10:23 (The Believer's Freedom) "Everything is permissible [to a believer], but not everything is beneficial. [... v31] So whether you eat or drink or WHATEVER you do, do it all for the glory of God."
-First Corinthians 11:11 "In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God."

-13:2 "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." No matter how strong your faith may be, if you have not love for everyone then it matters not.

I'll ebb a little on the definition of Apostle: "2 Corin 12:12 "The things that mark an apostle - signs, wonders, and miracles [..]" Have you done any signs or wonders or miracles, SiGen?

But about priests acting as our confessors. That is absolute GARBAGE! Priests can do NOTHING to take away your sins or to cleanse you: 1 Timothy 2:5
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ."
Or how about this? Hebrews 4:14:
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with out weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin." What's the point of a priest that hasn't been tempted? A priest that hasn't been tempted couldn't possible lead me, because I've been tempted quite a lot.

Read Galatians Chapter 3, SiGen.
"After beginning with the spirit you are now trying to attain your goal through human effort?" There is nothing that we can do to become righteous. Keeping the law, not marrying a wife, not taking a vacation, those are all human efforts. They do not make a person stronger in faith or more blessed in spirit. It is Jesus that decides how much spirit we get and there is nothing that we can do to persuade Jesus. He has a plan for us, and He will give us what we need in order to accomplish that plan. Not taking a vacation because you want to be more righteous is not going to make you any better of a person.
Hab. 2:4 "The righteous will live by faith."

Oh junk! I've got you! I'm playing my trump card, Cathoholic punk. Here it comes, brace yourself:
First Timothy Chapter 4:
"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods [and vacations], which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer."
