Well Its an amazing read, my mum recomended it to me it all really does make sense.
In it "god" goes through the reasons why we are here, why there is suffering in the world. He goes onto explain how the universe was made, and why we where put on it. The author then asks loads of questions about life, relationships love, suffering, war peace etc. God answers each with very deep spiritual answers that make sense. The depth of things covered is huge I really cant start to explain it, if you are at all intrested in religion or philoshy then you must read it.

As for what I have learned from it, I think I will read it through a couple more times. Each asnwer is so in depth you really need to sit and think these things through.

on a slight side note, the content in the book would make for a brilliant daily quote plugin for the today screen.

*edit*

I thought I would throw in a few quotes give you an idea of the things in the book.

"There is only one purpose for all of life, and that is for you and all that lives to experience fullest glory."

"Love is the ultimate reality. It is the only. The all. The feeling of love is your experience of God."

"I will be there

with truth.

And light.

and love."

"All Human actions are motivated at their deepest level by one of two emotions - Fear or love. In truth there are only two emotions - only two words in the language of the soul. There are the opposite ends of the great polarity which I created when I produced the universe, and your world, as you know it today."

"Every humdan thought, and every human action is based in either love or fear. There is no ther human motivation, and all other ideas are but derivatives of these two. They are simply differnt versions - differnt twists on the same theme.
Think on this deeply and you will see that it is true."

these quotes are a bit random, its hard to choose every page has so many great points.

I have one of the Conversations With God, books. In my agnostic, skeptic, opinion, this man is practicing a form of what is called automatic writing. He asks a question to himself, then he answers it with the first thoughts that come to mind. You could say that God, gods, his holy guardian angel, his subconcious, or whatever else was putting the thoughts in his mind, or he could just be a natural philosopher (as we all can be, if we learn to listen to ourselves). I have did similar things to what this man has done with a pencil and a notebook, and I believe anyone can do it, if you are in a calm, reasonable, mood.

My poety and art works in a similar fashon. Depending on my state of mind, I can write beautiful uplifting poems, or dreadful depressing stuff that seems like it came from the pits of hell. Personally whatever you believe about this mans questions and answers, you should remember that they are his personal truth, wether divine inspired or not, and you should seek your own (and I think he says something like that in one of the books). I think we all have an inner compass that steers us in the way of good, aka your concious, and we only have problems in life if we ignore it, or completely turn it off.

But anyway, that's just my two cents, and you should come to your own conclusions on this stuff.

Yeah... I've decided I don't really like it. Good for him, interesting concept, but its not what he tries to make it out to be.

Dies Irae
Dies irae, dies illa

Humor... how would it come from either love or fear?
